I created this piece on the second day of the @nepaltattooconvention . A tribute to Newar identity, feminine power, and cultural pride.
At the center is a Newar woman, calm yet commanding, wrapped in tradition and layered with stories. Around her are the vibrant elements of Jatra….the gods, the lotus, the masks, and the chaos that binds the festival spirit.
Every line in this tattoo speaks of legacy: of the women who kept culture alive, of the divine that lives in our daily rituals, and of the silent strength that’s passed down through generations.
This isn’t just a tattoo.
It’s memory.
It’s movement.
It’s who we are – inked in full color.
