Tattoo Policies at Suminu Tattoo in Nepal

Please keep this in mind, we want to tattoo you & we are always looking forward to it. We want to deliver the best experience for all our clients and artists throughout the process.
But if you are not serious about getting tattooed, please just wait until you are sure. We all work very hard, and manage our time accordingly so please respect the following policies of our studio at all times:

1. 18 and Over Policy: You must be at least 18 years old for you to get a tattoo.

2. Minimum Charge Policy:
The minimum charge is the absolute lowest amount that we charge to cover the time and expense of a sanitary setup, cleaning-up of the working station, equipment as well as single-use supplies necessary to provide a clean and safe tattoo by our professionals. This is applied per person getting tattooed, per session.  Even if you get a small tattoo of one simple dot, the cost will be the minimum.  If you and a friend are getting matching simple dot tattoos, the cost for each of you will be the minimum.  If you want multiple small tattoos on your body at the same tattoo session, you will be charged a flat rate or hourly (so if you wish to multiple tiny tattoos, it is more cost-effective for you to get more than one at a time).  Please note that any tattoo that takes more than 30 minutes will not be valid for the minimum charge policy and is calculated accordingly.

3. Advance/ Pre-appointment Deposit Policy: 
ANY DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.
Deposits will be deducted from the final cost of your tattoo at your final session unless your deposit is forfeited.
Deposits are forfeited in the following cases:
(a) If you don’t show up for the appointment / cancel with less than 24 hours advance notice unless an emergency case.
(b) If you reschedule more than twice.
(c) If you arrive for an appointment more than 30 minutes late without any prior information.
(d) If you arrive for an appointment intoxicated or otherwise not in the condition to be tattooed.
(e) If you request excessive or last-minute changes to the design or concept that is what was agreed.
(f) If you decide not to get tattooed at all.
If you forfeit a deposit, you may be required to leave a new deposit before booking any new appointment(s). Deposits cannot be transferred to another person.

4. Cancellation Policy:
All appointments require a minimum of 24 hours advance notice for cancellation. In special cases as relevant, with prior notice, your deposit may be applied to a future appointment even if you have to cancel the scheduled appointment.  DEPOSITS ARE NON-REFUNDABLE.

5. Reschedule Policy: 
All appointments require at least 24 hours’ notice to reschedule.  If at least 24 hours’ notice is given, your deposit may be applied to your new appointment.  If an appointment is rescheduled more than twice, your deposit will be forfeited.

6. Emergency Rescheduling:
In case of a genuine emergency requiring appointment rescheduling within 24 hours, please contact the studio as soon as possible. Exceptions may be considered on a case-by-case basis.

7. Late Policy: 
Please let us know if you will be late for an appointment.  If you are 30 minutes or later for an appointment without advance notice, you may forfeit your deposit, lose your appointment, and be required to reschedule and leave a new deposit.

8. Retouch Policy:
We offer one complimentary retouch session for tattoos within the first month only. This is to address any minor adjustments or touch-ups that may be needed. However, for a large tattoo or subsequent retouch sessions is required it may be subject to an additional charge based on the complexity and size of the tattoo.

Tattoo Touch-Up Window: Complimentary touch-ups must be scheduled within 60 days of the original tattoo session. The timing for the touch-up session will be fixed as per the availability of the artist or studio. After this period, touch-ups will be subject to a fee.

9. Photography Policy:
Photographs or videos during the tattooing process are not allowed without the explicit consent of both the client and the artist. However, we encourage clients to share images of the completed tattoo on their personal platforms, crediting the artist and studio.

10. Promotional Photography:
We reserve the right to take photographs of completed tattoos for promotional purposes. However, client identities will be kept confidential unless explicit permission is granted.

11. Health and Safety Guidelines:
Clients are required to adhere to all health and safety guidelines provided by the studio, including proper aftercare procedures. Failure to follow aftercare instructions may void certain aspects of the studio’s responsibility for the tattoo’s condition post-application.

12. Communication Channels:
For efficient communication, we recommend using our official communication channels only, including phone, email, social media and the designated contact form on our website. Online emails / social media messages may experience delays in response.

13. Contact Hours:
Our studio’s regular communication hours are from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM, Nepal Time. Responses to inquiries or appointment requests made outside of these hours will be addressed during the next available business day.

14. Custom Design Ownership:
The final customized tattoo design, once completed and paid for, becomes the property of the client. However, any preliminary or unused design concepts remain the intellectual property of the artist.

Design Purchase Option: If you only want the design without the tattoo, please contact us to purchase the design separately.

15. Artwork Policy: 
We will not send you a custom design for your review until your appointment is fixed.  Any revisions that stay within the idea as discussed during consultation can be made on the day of your appointment.  If you change your idea, placement, concept, etc., and significant or excessive revisions are required, your deposit will be forfeited and your appointment will need to be rescheduled and a new deposit may also be required.

16. Refund Policy: 
NO REFUNDS for any reason.  In the unlikely event of a mistake, it is our duty as the artist to fix it for no additional cost. Please contact the studio as soon as possible.

*Extreme Conditions: In the event of extreme weather conditions or natural disasters, the studio may close for the safety of clients and staff. In such cases, appointments will be rescheduled, and deposits will be honored.

16. Guest Policy:  
You may bring only one guest with you to accompany you during your tattoo session.  Your guest must be over the age of 18.  Out of respect for the other clients getting tattooed who need to relax, as well as the artists who need to focus on their work, any excess guests or disruptive guests will be asked to leave.  Children or minors are not allowed in the tattooing area at any time.

17. Pets Policy:  
Any animal or pet in the tattooing area is strictly prohibited for hygiene and safety reasons.
